When winter comes we need to eat something comforting in order to feel nice and cosy. Yesterday I found in the market some wild boar sausages from Pierian mountains, next to Mt Olympus. In this particular area there is a great tradition of hunting and cooking wild boars. If you haven’t tried the wild boar meat you should know that it is a bit sour so if you don’t like it, you can use the sausage of your choice.

4 wild boar sausages with oregano , cut into medium pieces
6 large potatoes- cut in large chunks
1 glass of red wine
1 tsp tomato paste
1 red pepper from Florina
1 large onion
1 garlic clove
olive oil
salt , pepper
Dried chili ( optional)

1. In a deep frying pan heat some olive oil and add the sausage to brown from all sides. Add garlic and
onion and cook for 5-8 minutes. Add the pepper and cook for 4-5 minutes stirring from time to time.
2. Add the potatoes and dissolve the tomato paste in the wine and pour it over the sausage and pepper mix. Season accordigly and simmer for 30 minutes or until the potatoes become tender.
3. When the food is ready sprinkle some dried chili flakes if you like !!!

Serve hot with feta cheese 🙂
