Greek Homemade Pitta Breads
300 gr all purpose flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
250 gr greek yoghurt
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dry mint or oregano
olive oil to fry the pittas
– Mix in a medium bowl all the dry ingredients for the pitta dough. Add the yoghurt and mix well with your hands in order to create a soft dough. If the dough feel sticky just add some extra flour. Let the dough to rest in the frigde for an hour or so.
– Divide the dough in ten small parts. Use a rolling pin ( or your hands) and roll each part of the dough in round pittas. Use some flour for your surface before rolling. (The pittas should be 1 mm thick)
– Heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil in a non stick pan and fry the pitta approximately 10 minute from both sides.
The Original Tzatziki Sauce
 1 medium cucumber, peeled and deseeded
300 gr Greek Yoghurt
2-3 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon of dry mint
1 tablespoon ouzo
1/2 shot extra virgin olive oil
salt
– Dice very finely the cucumber  and put in a fine colander to strain well ( we dont want our tzatziki to have watery texture)
– Mix in a bowl the rest of the ingredients and then add the cucumber. Salt to taste and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
